FAQ

Questions security buyers ask before a demo

Plain answers about Argus, 4th-party reconciliation, the approval gate, and how we deploy. For legal or compliance rulings, rely on your counsel; Argus provides guidance with sources, not definitive advice.

What is Argus?
Argus is an agentic vendor risk platform. Eight specialist agents research a vendor, scan its external surface, read evidence, generate a tailored questionnaire, reconcile 4th-party dependencies, score residual risk, and draft a board-ready report. Your team approves every report before it leaves the system.
How is Argus different from a security ratings service?
Ratings give you a letter grade from the outside. Argus runs a full assessment per vendor: contractual sub-processors from the DPA, outside-in scanning, evidence extraction, and concentration analysis across your portfolio. Output is a report your analyst approves, not a static score.
What is 4th-party reconciliation?
Vendors disclose sub-processors in their DPA. Argus compares that list to what outside-in scanning detects (DNS, headers, infrastructure fingerprints). Undisclosed dependencies and shared sub-processors across many vendors surface as findings and concentration alerts.
Does Argus replace our TPRM analysts?
No. Argus does the assembly work: research, scanning, evidence mapping, and first draft. Analysts review, approve, or send back for revision. Nothing reaches a customer or auditor without human sign-off.
Which frameworks do you support?
Assessments anchor on NIST CSF 2.0 with crosswalks to SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and PIPEDA accountability controls. Privacy sections cover data types, residency, retention, and cross-border transfer where evidence supports it.
Where does data live?
Multi-tenant SaaS runs on our cloud infrastructure. Enterprise clients can deploy single-tenant on Azure with Canadian residency when contract terms require it. Ask us about your residency and sub-processor requirements on a demo call.
How is pricing structured?
Annual contracts tiered by vendors managed (Starter, Growth, Enterprise). Argus can be purchased alone or bundled with Fidential Cyber and other modules. Published list pricing is coming; we quote after a short scoping call.
Can we integrate with ServiceNow or SharePoint?
Delivery channels include SharePoint, email, and ServiceNow logging. Intake from ServiceNow is on the roadmap for pilot clients. Tell us your workflow on a demo and we will map what is live today versus planned.
